Oslo, Norway / Berlin, Germany, 12 March 2026.
Six Robotics, a Norwegian provider of autonomy and swarming software for unmanned systems, and STARK, Europe’s fastest-growing defence technology company, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to integrate their systems for joint recce-strike mission deployment.
Recce-strike combines reconnaissance collected by ISR drones with strike capabilities provided by loitering munition. Experience from the conflict in Ukraine has reinforced that speed and integration across ISR and strike systems are decisive factors in modern warfare. The joint deployment of these systems shortens the sensor-to-shooter loop, enabling reconnaissance, target identification, strike, and battle damage assessment to be carried out within minutes in EW-contested environments.
The first phase of the integration has already been demonstrated through successful trials.
The collaboration expands Six Robotics’ ecosystem, and is STARK's first Nordic capability partnership following the recent establishment of its presence in Sweden. This partnership is an innovative example of the defence industrial cooperation between Norway and Germany under the bilateral Hansa Arrangement that was signed during the Munich Security Conference. It reinforces the importance of open architectures that allow defence forces to integrate capabilities across systems, suppliers, and national boundaries. This ensures faster deployment, greater flexibility, and sustained operational advantage in contested environments.
Integration for unified mission execution
The integration of both companies' systems enables operators to carry out coordinated recce-strike missions across intelligence, surveillance, and precision engagement operations. This partnership demonstrates how NATO forces can integrate new unmanned capabilities into existing software-defined operational systems, reducing dependency on single-vendor ecosystems and increasing operational flexibility.
Christian Fredrik Eggesbø, Founder and CEO of Six Robotics:
“This partnership represents a shift in how defence capability is built and deployed. The decisive advantage on the modern battlefield lies in software-defined interoperability, where autonomous systems from different nations and suppliers operate as one coherent force. Together with STARK, we are strengthening a resilient European defence architecture that reinforces NATO readiness and delivers operational impact when it matters most.”
Johannes Arlt, Managing Director Nordics at STARK, said:
“This partnership represents the timely convergence of European innovation to meet the urgency of the modern battlefield by joining forces of the finest scaleups in Norway and Germany. By integrating our systems, we are building a sovereign, interoperable European solution contributing to a credible northern European industrial deterrence. Together we will deliver cutting-edge operator-centered capabilities when it matters.”
About Six Robotics
Six Robotics is a Norwegian defence technology company founded in 2023 with the mission to strengthen defence and deter conflict in an era defined by unmanned warfare. The company develops advanced autonomy software that enables unmanned systems to act as intelligent teams. Systems that understand, decide, and act together. We work closely with the Norwegian Armed Forces, the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI), and our global partners to deliver defence capabilities that work in the field, not just in theory.
